A very warm welcome to our Club which has been established for over 50 years, and is now widely regarded as one of the leading Sequence Dance Clubs in Essex.
The Club started as an Adult Learning Course
at Braintree College and was immediately so popular,
a Club was formed and named
Riverside Modern Sequence Dance Club
after the name and location of Braintree College.
As the Club continued to grow and attract more Members, it moved to the Glebe Community Hall in Braintree, and the Club's name changed to Glebe Sequence Dance Club.
More members joining prompted another name and location change to the current Carousel Sequence Dance Club at Black Notley Village Hall.
The Club is self-sufficient and self-funding for the benefit of the Members.
We are renowned for being very friendly, sociable ,and for providing a new and enjoyable pastime, as well as way to make new friends.
Whether you are familiar with Ballroom and Latin Dancing and/or Sequence Dancing, keen to learn more or maybe start a new pastime, you will be receive a most encouraging welcome.
Dancing is recognised for the benefits it provides for our physical and mental fitness, and for keeping us young at heart.
Our elected Committee is responsible and accountable to the Club’s members, for the effective management of the Club.
A Public Liability Insurance Policy, and a Public Performing Licence are held.
Four members are registered as qualified First Aiders.
We dance every Wednesday afternoon, 2pm - 4pm
and
bi-monthly Saturday evenings
usually between 7pm - 10pm.
